Teaching has long been an essential part of Brenton’s career. He has studied with luminaries such as Misha Amory, Roberto Díaz, Susan Dubois, Ralph Fielding, Nobuko Imai, Kim Kashkashian, Jeffrey Irvine, and Lynne Ramsey. Brenton was one of legendary violist and pedagogue Karen Tuttle’s last students and served as her teaching assistant. In fact, Brenton made the decision to become a professional violist after seeing her teach a masterclass as a teenager. Knowing first hand the impact a great teacher can make in a student's life, he is dedicated to sharing this love and commitment to music and life long self exploration and growth with others.
